Gross Motor Development |

The students will learn and practice to:
- Run fast
- Change directions smoothly and quickly while running
- Stop, start and turn while running
- Climb to the top of climbing structures and come down without help
- Catch a ball using both arms
- Throw/ kick a ball forward with accuracy
- Hop several times on the same spot
- Hop forwards
- Jump forward - broad jump
- Jump down from a high step or a low frame with both feet together
- Walking a line
- Balance on right foot and left foot

Fine Motor Development |

The students will show a definite hand preference.
The students will learn and practice to:
- Hold a pencil, colour pencils or crayons with a grip between 3 fingers
- Cut (reasonably) accurately along a line
- Tear papers for murals or pasting experiences
- Paste papers or art work
- Pour liquid from a jug into a cup
- Thread small beads
- Sew through lacing cards
- Build towers or others with small blocks
- Place pieces of jigsaw puzzles. Rotate pieces to match the space
- Draw enclose shapes in free art work as circles, squares, etc
- Colour within the lines
- Paint with water colour using paint brushes properly
