Social and Emotional Skills |

The students will:
- Initiate interactions with caregivers
- Initiate interactions with peers
- Engage in co-operative play with peers (eg. block play, dramatic play)
- Take turns, (eg. wait for turns to wash hands, or pushes in to do it?)
- Express sympathy towards peers’ emotions (eg. comforts a sad friend, notifies teacher, etc)
- Share material and toys with other children
- Form strong bonds or friendships with certain peers
- Understand and follow different parts of the daily routine
- Respect and show concern for people and things around him/her
- Accept and respond to teacher’s authority
- Play with other children
- Have a good self-image
- Be happy and cheerful at school
- Have approprate control over her/his feelings

Cognitive Skills |

The children will learn and practice to:
- Complete basic jigsaw puzzles ( 8+ pieces)
- Arrange objects in order of size
- Count objects up to 10 without adult assistance (may need prompting, but can do it alone)
- Identify own name on labels or projects
- Locate their own name
- Sort objects according to colour
- Sort objects according to shape
- Sort objects according to size
- Match pairs of objects (eg. bingo type games)
- Recognize 7 basic shapes: circle, square, rectangle, triangle, star, heart, diamond
- Recognize some colours: red, blue, yellow, green, black, white, brown, orange, pink, grey
- Recognize some body parts
- Communicate or reflect real life or imaginary experiences through art work
